CLUSTER WALL'S On-Line Print Gallery Exhibit Opens To A Packed House In Brooklyn!

Evan Tobias
Last weekend CLUSTER WALL Street Art Gallery launched their opening exhibit / party to a packed house at 17 Frost St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn hosted by founder Evan Tobias.  What makes this mainly on-line print gallery different is Tobias's emphasis on specializing in hand-pulled, low-run, hand-embellished screen prints.
ORYX, Jilly Ballistic and Solus
The artists featured in the opening and on the website include; Chris RWK, ELLE, Rubin, Joe Iurato, John Paul O'Grodnick, Jilly Ballistic, The Drif, Solus, Opie, ORYX, London Kaye and ASVP.  Select artists also exhibited original pieces, you can view all of the works on their website at www.cluster-wall.com.  Many of the limited edition prints have sold out but there is still a nice selection, check it out today and add something unique to your walls.  Make sure to follow their website and Instagram @cluster_wall for announcements on new print releases and the next big event as the print runs go quick!

The Infamous Magazine & Artist Damon Johnson - Double Hit at Gallery Sensei!

Recently I attended The Infamous Magazine Issue #8 release event that coincided with street artist Damon Johnson's exhibit "Radiant Jewels" at Gallery Sensei in Chinatown.  The magazine known for its rich graffiti and street art reporting and culture, brought out artists to see the exhibit, mingle, trade stickers and sign a few black books.  For it's most recent release Phetus and Rolo are featured on the covers below (left), and the art of Kobra (right.)
Artist Damon Johnson exhibited over a dozen pieces inspired by his love for Dick Tracy with a similar comic book, hero style of detailed paintings of villains and victims.  Once and a while you can catch his vibrant work on the streets similar to the flower below sprawling from the concrete of a vacant building.  I'm a new admirer to his work and look forward to seeing more in the galleries and on the streets.  Brooklyn Street Art also did a nice feature on him that you can find here: http://www.brooklynstreetart.com/theblog/.  (And, for more on Johnson, visit his Facebook page listed below.)
